Technology

Our students have access to a wide variety of technology resources and platforms that allow them to successfully complete assignments and projects as well as preparing them for their future endeavors in college and the workplace. 

iPads are used for a variety of purposes in the classroom, including thecreation of videos, taking photos, Internet browsing and assessment. 

The LearnPad is another type of tablet that students use daily in the classroom for thecompletion of assignments and projects, as well as assessments. 

Netbooks provide students with access to information through the Internet and a wide variety of educational tools.  Netbooks also provide students with the ability to word process, create multimedia presentations and work with data.

Nook tablets are designed primarily for the purpose of reading digital ebboks.  Students are able to check out tablets through the library and have access to over 1,000 ebook titles.

Interactive whiteboards are large interactive displays that connect to a computer.  The computer's desktop is projected on the screen and students are able to control the screen with a pen or their finger.  SMART Boards are found in every classroom and are used daily by teachers.

TI-Graphing Calculators are handheld calculators that are able to plot graphs, solve simultaneous equations and perform other tasks with variables.  Class sets of graphing calculators are in all math classrooms.
